Bow Foodbank

We are open every Monday, throughout the year, between 9.30am and 12.30pm. We are closed on Bank Holidays

Anyone in need of our services is welcome to request our support during these hours. We are also happy to help those referred to us by other support services. You do not have to be referred to us.

When you visit Bow Foodbank, one of our befrienders will give you a warm welcome and offer you some refreshment. They will then register you and take you to choose any 10 items from our available stock.

Many of those who use Bow Foodbank have welfare, debt and other problems; we are able to offer free Legal Aid support and Benefits Advice which is available through a Legal Aid advisor at every Foodbank session (see below)

Many clients are on benefits or homeless, so I can advise them and help with other issues like employment and debt management. I did my undergraduate degree in Law at London Metropolitan University. Public law and employment law are my specialities and now I am training to qualify. I’ve come across a number of clients who are rough sleepers without access to benefits, often because they are asylum seekers without legal rights. I assist a lot of people in need and it makes me realise just how many people out there need help.
